MARBLE

A New Exploration:

Where Science, Nature and Art meet

A powerful new collaboration from composer Clive Whitburn and visual artist Richard Jackson

> Coming 2026 <

An immersive live performance of original music, experimental film, and cosmic conversation.

About the Work

MARBLE invites you on a journey through deep time, dark skies, and human imagination.

Set in two intimate venues, the work blends live contemporary music, featuring orchestra and experimental electronic soundscaping, with a seamless visual arc of multi-orbit ISS footage and spoken word from guest speakers. It creates a space where the vastness of the cosmos meets the intimacy of human experience.

With its roots in astronomy, ecology, and the elemental landscapes of earth, MARBLE explores our place in the universe — inviting reflection, wonder, and shared awe

The Performance

Performed by a chamber ensemble and featuring new work by Clive Whitburn, the music ranges from meditative textures to bold sonic landscapes.

Visual artist Richard Jackson weaves together archival footage, astronomical imagery, and real-time visuals across a large scale projections. Guest speakers from science and the arts offer personal reflections and provoke discussion before and after the show.

Expect a sensory experience: immersive, cinematic, and designed for both seasoned arts lovers and curious newcomers.
